We targeted bush piles from 15-20 feet deep in Horse Creek and in the coves. The fish wanted the bait swinging over their heads  today and did not want it straight up and down.
Fishing Notes

With all of this current flowing through the water, it changed our game plans today. We showed up to our first couple of brush piles on the main lake and all of our fish were gone. Every pile we looked out this morning on the main lake was empty.

There is so much current flowing through the lake that it moved those fish that are being hit the hardest. We ran into the Horse Creek and started running brush piles and those were not effected. We fished minnows all day and were struggling to get bit. The fish would look but they wouldnt commit to the bait. At least not just leaving the bait straight up and down. We started pitching the minnows over the piles and letting it swing over back to the boat. It was instantly game on.

Once we figured out they wanted it swinging. We started catching fish left and right. Remember when you are out fishing, there is usually a way to get the fish to bite. You just have to keep changing it up until you find what works.
